Programmable Power Supply

Programmable DC Supply

Adjustable Regulated DC Power for Relay and Electronic Load Testing

The Programmable DC Test Supply is a regulated DC power source designed for testing relays, electronic loads, control circuits, sensors, actuators, and other low-voltage electrical and electronic devices.

It accepts a 55 VDC input and provides an adjustable 0 to 48 VDC output with a maximum output current of 1 A and maximum output power of 48 W. Output voltage can be controlled through a 0 to 10 V control signal, making the unit suitable for automated and PLC-controlled test setups.

The linear closed-loop regulation provides controlled DC output, while adjustable current limiting and integrated protection help protect the connected load during testing.

Adjustable DC Supply for Test Applications

The adjustable output range of 0 to 48 VDC allows the supply to be used across a variety of electrical and electronic test conditions. The output can be controlled using a 0 to 10 V control input, allowing the unit to be integrated into automated test systems and externally controlled test equipment.

The adjustable current limit, with a maximum of 1 A, provides additional control when testing loads with different current requirements.

Relay and Contactor Testing

The supply can be used to provide controlled DC voltage for relay and contactor testing, including evaluation of pickup, dropout, and operating behavior.

The adjustable output makes it possible to vary the applied voltage during testing and observe device response across different operating conditions.

PLC and Automated Test Systems

The 0 to 10 V voltage control input allows the supply to be interfaced with PLCs, controllers, and other automation equipment.

This makes it suitable for test benches where output voltage needs to be adjusted automatically as part of a test sequence.

Protection and Thermal Management

The unit incorporates adjustable current limiting up to 1 A, along with over-current and short-circuit protection, to help protect the power supply and connected test equipment.

Cooling is provided through a heatsink and fan arrangement, supporting operation under continuous electrical load within the specified operating conditions.

Typical Applications

Relay and Contactor Testing: Provides adjustable DC power for checking relay and contactor pickup, dropout, and operating characteristics.

Industrial Equipment Testing: Suitable for powering and testing control circuits, DC loads, and auxiliary electronic systems used in industrial equipment.

PLC and Automation Testing: The 0 to 10 V control interface makes the supply suitable for PLC-controlled voltage adjustment and automated electrical test setups.

Sensor and Transducer Testing: Can provide adjustable DC excitation or supply voltage for testing sensors, transducers, and associated electronic circuits.

Solenoid and Actuator Testing: Suitable for testing DC solenoids, valves, and small actuators within the specified voltage and 1 A current limits.

Electronic Circuit Development: Can be used as an adjustable DC source during prototype development, circuit testing, and control-system development.

DC Motor Testing: Suitable for testing small DC motors where the required operating current remains within the 1 A maximum output rating.

LED and Lighting Testing: The adjustable DC output can be used for testing LED modules, indicators, and low-power DC lighting circuits.

Instrumentation Testing: Provides regulated DC power for testing industrial measurement, monitoring, and control instruments.

Battery and Charging-System Testing: Can be used as a controlled DC source for selected battery and charging-system test procedures. The unit should not be considered a dedicated battery charger unless the application includes an appropriate charging-control mechanism.
